Here are a few photos of the engine and driveline components.

Click to enlarge. One of the first things I did was to source an engine, so that I could set up my frames with confidence.  I found a gentleman selling a recently-rebuilt ChrisCraft 283 cubic inch V8. (07-FEB-2007)

Click to enlarge. The engine has a Paragon transmission. Ratio is 1:1.

Click to enlarge. The gentleman recovered two engines from a cabin cruiser that had been damaged beyond repair.  He rebuilt the engines together.  He kept the right-hand rotation engine and sold me the left-hand rotation unit.

Click to enlarge. This is what he did with the starboard engine.  He took me for a ride to show me how "the twin" performed.

Click to enlarge. Here's the "working twin" to the engine I bought.

Click to enlarge. Here's the rebuilt engine before its first startup and break in.
